He brings nearly three decades across investment management, project debt, corporate finance and strategy with leading Indian and global institutions. Previously Managing Director and India Head for J.P. Morgan’s Asian Infrastructure Fund, he has stewarded complex platforms and multi-party transactions. At Aright he aligns long-term capital with executable pipelines and keeps decision-making disciplined and transparent.
Karan Tanwar
Founder & Director
Karan leads development and delivery across utility parks, feeder-level distributed solar, precision farming and warehousing in India. His remit spans land assembly, permits, interconnection, EPC readiness and early-life operations, with a hands-on approach to solving field issues before they become delays. He is an engineering graduate from Purdue University, USA, and is known for calm execution under pressure and clear interfaces with partners and agencies.
Tanya Mehta
Director
Tanya focuses on capital structuring, closings and institutional interfaces. She also leads Aright’s activities in Canada, working with international counterparties and advisors to bring projects to bankable closure. Her background in the financial sector anchors negotiations, diligence and documentation with clarity for lenders and equity. She holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
R. P. Sasmal
President
Mr. Sasmal brings a lifetime in power systems and delivery. He previously served as Director (Operations), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). At Aright he steers implementation from switchyards and lines through testing, commissioning and stabilisation, setting the standard for safety, quality and reliability on large sites.
Sandeep Jain

Sandeep oversees finance, treasury and controls. A Chartered Accountant and MBA, he brings experience across corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, credit rating and project execution. He keeps funding, cash discipline and reporting on an even keel so projects progress without surprises and counterparties trust the numbers.
Shringar Mascarenhas
Consultant
Shringar is an engineer and MBA with deep experience in asset management and infrastructure investing, including work with ASMA Capital, Eastspring, Daestrum and Deutsche Asset Management. As a consultant to Aright, he supports investor interfaces, fundraising and diligence, helping align processes and reporting with institutional expectations while the platform scales.
Sudhir Agarwal
Technical Lead, Evacuation Systems
Mr. Agarwal focuses on interconnection and protection engineering. Formerly a Chief General Manager at PGCIL, he brings practical judgment on layouts, ratings and protection schemes so energisation is timely and substations meet the grid’s reliability bar.
Shouvik Bhattacharya
Technical Advisor, Substations & HVDC
With over three decades at NTPC and POWERGRID, Mr. Bhattacharya advises on substation architecture, commissioning methods and lifecycle O&M. He ensures designs are robust, maintainable and aligned with long-term performance standards.
Ajay Peri
Engineering & Regulatory Strategy
Ajay manages technical knowledge and regulatory strategy across filings, drawings and performance reviews, coordinating with CTU, CEA and other agencies. A graduate of Delhi College of Engineering, he keeps engineering documentation and compliance aligned with what is actually being built, reducing approval risk and rework.
Ajay Atrea
Technical Advisor, Civil & Balance of Plant
Mr. Atrea is a veteran of large civil and power programmes, formerly an Executive Director at NTPC. He guides design development, method statements and contractor oversight so sites are buildable, safe and efficient from ground-break to handover.

Technical Advisor, Projects & Contracts
Mr. Mahto, a former Senior General Manager at PGCIL, strengthens contracting frameworks and execution discipline across EPC and O&M. His focus is clear risk allocation, clean documentation and steady progress through commercial checkpoints.
Bhawani Shankar

Bhawani coordinates statutory approvals, compliance and multi-agency interfaces. He keeps conditions precedent closed and documentation in order so programmes remain build-ready and timelines are protected.

Motiram runs on-ground delivery and O&M readiness across sites. Previously with Adani, he emphasises safety, quality and stable ramp-up after commissioning so availability and performance settle quickly.
Jitendra Singh

Mr. Singh is a retired IRTS officer with long experience in logistics and network planning. He supports site access, movement planning and coordination with counterpart agencies so construction and commissioning move without bottlenecks.

Mayank works on origination and partnerships, bringing experience with international brands and a focus on investable clean-energy opportunities. He supports commercial shaping and market intelligence. He holds an MSc in Marketing from the University of Edinburgh.
